These are so bloody cute. I had to keep the box. The boxes all have quotes about kissing on the flap of the lid, which I thought was romantic, and there's a little paper insert inside with kissing tips on it. Plus the art on the box is beautiful, like all of Margot Elena Wells' stuff. The product itself lives up to the packaging too. This is a harder, non-gooey balm that spreads on smoothly and easily. You don't need very much of it per application and it does a lovely job of smoothing and moisturizing the lips. The flavour is delicious and aptly described. Putting it on you get a whirlwind of fresh green tea and just a hint of the candied lemon, which is candied enough to completely avoid being bitter or sour or overpowering. It's balanced just right and comes out like sweet iced tea, but distinctively green iced tea. Right away the scent settles down and becomes subtle-but-just-noticeable-enough. One warning though, these do expire after a time (the ones a store I work at had in stock did - they're now very, very on sale). They're still useable and everything, they still work, but they start to take on that waxy-sour type of scent that lots of lotions do if you've had them too long. So once you have it, use it often, and only buy one at time. =)

This is probably the one out of this line that I'll end up wearing as a default, day to day. I now have all of the Tokyo Milk scents I was interested in, and this is one of my favorites. The line hits both ends of the floral spectrum with Song in D Minor (maybe my absolute favorite) and Waltz. Where I said that Song in D Minor is a heavy-intoxicating type floral warmed up by the amber it rests on, Waltz is cool, crisp, sweet and light. I initially held off buying this one even though it might have appealed to me most in the line, because I already have a sweet-rose-and-something fragrance, but this is entirely different. Linden, which I've never found before in a perfume, gives it a nice, crisp, almost clean-cotton type scent that gets a little extra support from the touch of musk underneath. The sweetness of the floral notes then plays off of the crispness, with a good balance to my mind. The staying power on this one's a little weak, but other than that it's quite wonderful.

A cafe in my area sells honey lemon sticks that you snip the end off and stir into your tea - that's what this perfume reminds me of. It definitely does smell like real honey, so well done there - honey fragrances in my experience tend to go wrong somewhere and smell like plastic or litterboxes. The particular combination of floral notes comes out smelling a bit like lemon candy to me, probably mostly because of the sugared violet and the way they interact with the honey. I've heard other people perceiving some form of fruit-and-honey quality in this one as well. I don't really smell the jasmine very much, but after you wear it a little while the sandalwood starts to peek through to very nice effect. Overall I enjoy this one, although it's not my absolute favorite in the line - I could almost do without the flowery-lemony bit, although that lessens with wear.

This is a bright, clean and refreshing scent that I agree is really great for both men and women. It actually reminds me of a home fragrance I used to use a lot (Clean Mist from Bath and Body Works)... except better. Very energizing. Good for blah days. It cheers me up.

Very warm, deep and mysterious. The vanilla isn't a sugary type of vanilla - it's a nice, smooth, just-sweet-enough base to form a sweet and smokey finish with the wood notes. The scent can easily be interpreted as sexy and seductive or just plain comforting. The woodsy, outdoors element of the fragrance reminds me of secluded vacation cottages. Tied in with the deep vanilla, it conjures up an image of drinks-at-midnight-in-our-bathrobes-with-mischievous-smiles, in aforementioned cottage. Perfect for a night out and a great little fragrance overall.
Thu, 08/19/2010 - 04:18pm Nice!
This is a neat little spicy-sweet-floral fragrance. It's hard for me to put my finger on exactly what it smells like - the closest I can come is cloves, maybe a bit of ginger, and flowers. With maybe a hint of spiced tea (although not lapsang souchong tea, ironically, more like spiced chai). A little different from what I normally wear, but perfect for the days you want something a little different, a little extra mystery... I really like this, and I certainly wear it more than often enough to justify the cost.
Thu, 08/19/2010 - 04:02pm One of my favorites!
I originally bought this one as a kind of "consolation prize" because I couldn't find the fragrance I was looking for, and it turns out I love it to death. I think what I really like about it is that the amber adds just the right warmth and fullness to the floral notes on top; the end result is a soft, round, feminine fragrance with a richness that I find lacking in a lot of floral perfumes. And the little bottles are adorable. And not particularly expensive. Yay!
Thu, 08/19/2010 - 03:47pm Poe's Tobacco
I was a little disappointed with this one. I love a lot of the Tokyo Milk scents, and the notes in this one sounded particularly interesting. I was imagining a tobacco scent with a warm, earthy base of amberwood and maybe a bit of sweetness from the apple component. But it's very, very, very green, to the point that it becomes predominantly bitter on me. A little bit of tobacco and a lot of what I guess is tea, but tea that's been steeped too long and is unpleasantly sharp. That being said I tend to like very sweet scents, so my perception may be a little skewed there. It's not so bad a a room or drawer spray, it's very fresh and perks things up nicely.
